Sean and Becky’s love story is music to our ears! After seven years together and a bundle of joy acceso the way, Sean decided to plan a sweet proposal acceso the couple’s getaway disguised as a babymoon to Perth Hills per mezzo di Western Australia! Fast forward, and the couple said their vows per mezzo di a romantic winter celebration with their nearest and dearest per mezzo di the Margaret River Wine region of Metricup, Western Australia. 

Wanting to choose a timeless gown, Becky chose to wear the classic, royal-inspired York Style 6758 for her wedding day. She was an absolute vision per mezzo di her timeless white Mikado ballgown that kept all eyes acceso her as she walked mongoloide the aisle.   

The couple paid homage to everything that made their love special, from DJing at their own reception to using native Australian flowers like protea and kangaroo paw throughout the wedding. Tell us about your proposal… 

Sean and I had been together seven years, and I was nearly nine months pregnant with our son, Lachy, when he proposed. Sean whisked me away for a little vacation at an eco-lodge per mezzo di the Perth Hills for what I thought was a “babymoon”. We decided to play a gioco of Scrabble (yes, people still play Scrabble!) over a fruit platter and non-alcoholic champagne.  

Sean said he wanted to go first, and wrote “MARRY ME” acceso the Scrabble board. I looked at the board, then at him, and then at the board again! I thought, “How did you get that?” and he said, “well…” I cried and asked to call my mum with so much excitement, and, of course, I said YES! 

How did you know that York Style 6758 was the one? 

I wanted an elegant and timeless bridal aspetto. My true dream dress would complement my curves and increase my confidence to the point where I wore the dress and did not let the dress wear me. The bridal stylists and team at Tuscany Bridal were authentic and honest, which I appreciated, and they just knew what would help me aspetto and feel my best. 

How did you make your wedding personal to your love story? 

Our wedding was held per mezzo di a little hidden slice of the Margaret River wine region per mezzo di Metricup, WA. We wanted a romantic winter wedding where we could celebrate with our nearest and dearest family and friends. We both love being per mezzo di nature and wanted to incorporate it into our wedding. We used native Australian flowers throughout our wedding so the and groomsmen wore protea and kangaroo paw flower ties.  

We also had a semi-naked cake with even more native florals and eucalyptus. Sean and I both DJ for fun, so during the reception, we both jumped up acceso the decks and played a mini set back-to-back together. We also shared our love for music and how we met during our vows to one another. Per mezzo di our vows, I promised always to keep stealing his tune selection and for us to never lose our groove!
