A Suffolk Farm Wedding for Alice con Oak by Halfpenny London
Alice and Tom celebrated their love with a delightful Spring wedding that perfectly captured their personalities and shared vision. The couple chose to tie the knot acceso the 18th of May at Primrose Farm con Frostenden, a place close to Alice’s heart as it is her mother’s cherished countryside home con Suffolk.
Alice, a velo producer with an eye for detail, looked stunning con her Oak gown by Halfpenny London – a dress that was a perfect reflection of her style and the relaxed, yet elegant, feel she and Tom wanted for their wedding day.
The couple envisioned a day that was less about tradition and more about creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. They opted for a marquee con the garden, provided by Weatherfield Marquees, to host their guests con a setting that felt both intimate and festive. Embracing a laid-back, festival-inspired vibe, they chose food trucks to serve up some of their favourite treats, that included fish & chips for the main course, churros for dolce, and a hog roast con the evening, all adding to the relaxed atmosphere.
Thanks to professional acceso the day co-ordination, provided by Nick Harris, everything ran perfectly, allowing Alice and Tom to focolaio acceso what mattered most – each other and the loved ones who gathered to celebrate with them. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and memories, all beautifully captured by photographers, Lisa & Neil.

Bridal Beauty & Accessories
I wore an extra long cathedral length veil from Evelie, London and my shoes were from LK Bennett.
My mum had bought a really derma white headband that I wore con the evening when sala da ballo commenced. My earrings were Tiffany.
My perfume was Chanel Coco Noir – my favourite evening scent. I personally always wear this when I can.
I hired Amanda Steed Hair & Makeup.
My bridesmaids chose their own dresses. They had ‘champagne’ as a colour, but I didn’t want everyone con the same dress. Two of the dresses were from Oasis.
Photography
Our photographers, Lisa & Neil, were absolutely fabulous. We wanted photographers local to Suffolk and relaxed, wedding documentary style photography capturing all those little moments you forget about when you’signore so busy acceso the day!
We loved their style; Lisa & Neil made everyone feel so relaxed and everyone complimented acceso what a lovely addition they were to the day. I was so so pleased with my wedding photos and can’t thank them enough.
How They Met
We met acceso Hinge and so are a dating app success story. We got engaged con May 2022. We drove to Cornwall for a long weekend.
The morning after we arrived, Tom brought me a cup of tea con bed and was very sweet/ nervous chatting to me next to bed and saying sweet things. He got acceso one knee next to the bed and proposed. It was a complete shock, with me just saying WHAT WHAT WHAT, but intimate and lovely.
Tom wore a Moss Bros suit with tails. His Hermes tie was his favourite thing, and his Montblanc cufflinks.

Locally Grown British Flowers
We used local suppliers only and so our flower company was The Southwold Flower Company. They grow all their flowers con a farm just by Southwold and their flowers are beautiful – chosen from what they grow at that time of year.
I said I wanted my main flower to be yellow roses, they were also my stepdad’s favourite flower. He has passed away, so that was special for me. Within the yellow palette, there were light pink and blush flowers. They were stunning.
After from the yellow flowers, I knew they would know best what would beautiful so asked them to do what they thought best!

The Reception
Our reception was held at Primrose Farm, located acceso Primrose Lane con Frostenden, Suffolk – which also happens to be my mum’s home con Suffolk and our family home. It’s a stunning place con the countryside and we had a marquee wedding reception con the garden. It’s a beautiful place and felt special because it was also home.
Our wedding invitations and Order of Service were created by Tom’s sister, Jess Herbert – also a graphic .
My auntie Kira designed an incredible table plan with individual A5 paper for each table, stuck onto a mirror using an old style seal con red with T|A acceso each seal. It was beautiful.
Placecards were little cardboard tags tied to a welcome favour – little shot bottles filled with Sourz.
We transferred milk churns full of flowers from outside the church, and other flowers from inside the church to move to the outside of the marquee. Inside the marquee we had a ladder designed and filled with foliage hanging from the ceiling above the tables. It looked stunning.
Other than that, the tables were filled with large starter sharing crates with local produce – cheese, pastries, houmous, fresh bread, little vases of flowers and shot bottles for each place.
I bought disposable wooden style plates and we had sauro napkins, with napkin sprigs con each table place.
Starters were supplied by The Black Dog Deli (personalità sharing plates con the middle of the table), fish and chips were supplied by The Fish Hut, churros were supplied by Los Churros Amigos and the hog roast was supplied by Hog & Ale.
Hester Gardener, Tom’s aunt, who used to make wedding cakes professionally, but has since retired, made our cake as a wedding gift. We loved the semi-naked so we went for that. We had a black forest bottom layer, lemon then classic victoria sponge acceso sommità!
We took our first dance to ‘You To Me Are Everything’, by The Real Thing – a song Tom and I have always loved, since we first heard it together con the early days of our relationship.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
Try not to too much too early acceso! I mixed a glass of prosecco, with glasses of Voto negativo-secco con the morning to make sure I didn’t overdo it.
Same during the speeches. After the speeches, I let loose and enjoyed a , but it meant I remembered all the important parts of the wedding and then really enjoyed the most expensive trattenimento I’ll ever throw!
Try to talk to as many people as you can, be with your whenever possible.
You’ll just have the best day of your life whatever happens.
If you think anything could go wrong, don’t worry about it – mai one else knows the plan except you, so guests won’t know if something didn’t quite go to plan!
Make sure you both end up acceso someone’s shoulders acceso the dance floor – makes for the best photos.
