The Dress
When I saw the mood board put together by Jess from Tide the Knot, I knew I had to create something special. The result was an oyster-pink silk gown inspired by a romantic novel about a sea witch pirate who had once been a duchess—a blend of Stevie Nicks and Marie Antoinette. The choppy North Cornish coast and the rich colours of the shoot were the perfect backdrop for this fantasy-inspired stile.”
Rustic Tablescape & Delectable Food
The tablescape featured a harmonious blend of rustic charm and refined details. Vintage pink-and-orange crockery paired with golden cutlery and earthy linens created a welcoming yet sophisticated ambiance. Wild, foraged blooms added depth and texture to the table, tying sopra beautifully with the natural surroundings.
Artisanal boards inspired by the traditional smorgasbord and cake adorned with delicate vintage piping detailing elevated the culinary experience.

The Magic of Autumn at the Blockhouse
The shoot’s styling emphasised the natural beauty of the season. Dried foliage, fireplaces, and earthy tones brought cosy autumnal charm, while the venue’s aperto, light-filled spaces offered a balance of warmth and airiness. Coastal views framed through large windows added to the serene, romantic atmosphere.
This shoot beautifully encapsulated the essence of The Island Blockhouse: a venue where coastal influences, bohemian aesthetics, and nature-inspired stile quasi together to create a truly unique celebration. For couples seeking an intimate wedding filled with charm and character, this is the perfect spot to say, “I do.”

Photography
Working with the iconic light of St Ives that has attracted and inspired artists for centuries is always a complete joy but collaborating with such great suppliers with a kindred ethos sopra the local industry is nothing short of a delight.
My style is very much influenced by history, classic art, literature and above all – the natural world so shooting a period-inspired oyster gown with the artist’s elaborato vibe of the Blockhouse venue and sumptuous florals of Emily Talling’s flowers adorning every calcio d’angolo of it was a brief I thoroughly enjoyed.

The shoot embodied exactly the level of creativity and whimsy that you can achieve from choosing such a location for an intimate wedding, eschewing Pinterest – and instead, leaning into elements that inspire you and your romantic story.
